RippleClip Privacy Policy

The short version

RippleClip has no servers. Everything you capture stays in the app's storage on your iPhone. We cannot see your clips, and neither can anyone else. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.

What the app stores, and where

• Clips (text, links, images, screenshots and their recognized text) are stored in a local database on your device, inside RippleClip's app container. They never leave your iPhone.
• Vault clips are the same data, additionally gated behind Face ID / Touch ID / your passcode via Apple's LocalAuthentication. Biometric data itself never reaches RippleClip — Apple's system handles the check and tells the app only "unlocked" or "not".
• Settings (capture preferences, expiry rules) live in the app's local preferences.

What the app deliberately refuses to store

• Copies marked concealed by password managers (the standard flag 1Password, Bitwarden and others set) are skipped entirely by default.
• Clips that look like passwords or tokens are routed to the Face ID vault automatically, and you can turn on auto-expiry so they delete themselves.

Permissions it asks for

• Paste from Other Apps — iOS asks before RippleClip reads the clipboard. Setting it to Allow makes capture seamless; the read still only ever happens on your device.
• Photo library — only if you enable screenshot auto-import, and used only to read new screenshots. You can revoke it any time in Settings.
• Face ID — only to unlock your vault.

Processing that happens on-device

Text recognition (OCR), smart detection (codes, addresses, links), and Apple Intelligence naming and summaries all run on your iPhone using Apple's frameworks. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.

Purchases

RipplePro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details — Apple handles the transaction and tells the app only that the purchase exists.

Changes and contact

If a future feature ever changes any of the above (for example an optional iCloud sync, which would use your private iCloud database that we also cannot read), this policy will say so plainly before the feature ships. Questions: support@coderippletech.com.
